Winter 2018 continues with epic snow conditions and this week will possibly go down in history as one of the best! The week can be summarised in three words: powder, park and pipe.

Watch our Snow Report video here:

Powder

With around one metre of snow falling throughout the week, our guests were treated to bottomless powder turns. And the powder is forecast to keep falling over the next few days. Hope you have your powder legs ready!

Park

Before the storm hit, we enjoyed sunny skies with a pristinely groomed terrain park. The park now includes an extensive range of features running the full length of the Sunshine Course:

  • Medium jumpline with 3 kickers
  • Large hip
  • Large jumpline with 3 kickers
  • Large canon
  • New medium hip with side hit
  • Small jumpline, 3 kickers
  • 1 box rail, 2 down rails, 1 long kinked rail, 1 flat box rail
  • 2 snow-canoes
  • 1 small spine
  • 2 sets of 3 pump rollers, small & medium
  • One small kicker

Please note that features may change or be closed due to weather and snow conditions.

Our visiting athletes, including 11 year old Estonian freeskier, Henry Sildaru, sessioned the terrain park with other skiers and snowboarders from New Zealand and our own ski instructor, Kato.

Pipe

The re-build and shaping of the 22ft halfpipe was delayed by the ongoing snowfall but we finished the final shaping yesterday with some of our visiting Olympian athletes due to test it out today. Please stay tuned for footage!
